A table quiz will take place in the League on Thursday, 15th November. The quiz is to raise funds for the senior citizens Christmas party. We would ask all participants to be seated by 7.30pm.

The bar will be open, there will be finger food and a sing song. Musicians welcome. Bring your instruments

Admission is free but there will be a raffle on the night. Spot prizes welcome.

Anyone not wishing to avail of the meal may attend afterwards at a cost of €10; you need to have your name and money with us as above since we are obliged on health and safety grounds to have a list of all patrons in the hall.

NOTE: It has come to our attention that members’ photographs are being published on social media without their knowledge or permission. We have had a complaint about this and we are asking all our members to refrain from such activity. Should the League decide to have photographs taken at an event, a designated photographer will be appointed for this purpose. 

Commuter train leaving Pearse Station at 12:42pm, stopping at Tara St (12:44pm), Connolly (12: 48pm), Drumcondra (12:52pm), Broombridge (12:57pm) and arriving at Ashtown at 1pm. We will walk for approximately two hours. If people want to do more or less, we’ll work it out on the day. Back to our usual venue, the Halfway House, for food and refreshments. Return train times from Ashtown into City Centre are 15:06, 16:08, 17:06, 18:08 and 19:07. Unfortunately, anyone who needs a guide will have to make their own arrangements, as spare guides cannot be guaranteed.

The New Year’s Party is January 16th, 2016 and starts at 18:00. To reserve a place, please contact Veronica or the office by December 17th, 2015 and make arrangements to pay the dinner fee of €20 for members or €25 for non-members.
